Mazes - Easy, Medium, Hard (Minor Project 9 Option 2)

Maze Story / Game Mechanic (Minor Project 9 Option 1)

Story:

Larry was a simple working man in the world, having the occupation of a lumberjack. One day he was working at the lumber mill, typical as any other day. All of a sudden, a strange cloud of smoke begins to appear out of thin air just a few feet away from Larry. As he approached it, a strange man appeared out of thin air. Before Larry had a chance to say anything, the man exclaimed, “Larry, come with me!” Both men disappeared, leaving nothing but a trail of dark smoke behind.
All of a sudden, both Larry and strange man appear in what appears to be a maze made out of brick walls. The strange man says, “Welcome to the maze challenge, Larry! Complete the maze as fast as you can! The faster you complete it, the better the prize you receive at the end! You will be returned home with your prize once you complete the maze.” Before Larry could even grasp what the strange man was saying, the strange man disappeared instantly. All of a sudden, a giant timer appears at the top of the center of the maze, and it begins to count down. Larry had no choice but to traverse this mysterious maze and make it to the end.

Game Mechanics

The game is simple; make it to the end of the maze in as little time as possible. There is a point counter that coincides with the timer. The point counter starts at 100. As the timer goes down, the point counter follows. The higher the point counter is once Larry reaches the end of the maze, the better the prize he receives. The point counter will reach 0 after 5 minutes. If the point counter reaches 0, Larry will receive no prize.
