Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Mood Board (Minor Project 6 Option 4)

Design Inspirations: Pikmin (Minor Project 6 Option 3)

Pikmin is a game explored and mentioned in the Game Design: Principles, Practice, and Techniques book under the Design Inspirations section on page 79. It happens to be one of my favorite games so I decided to elaborate on it.

Shigeru Miyamoto is one of the head designers at Nintendo, and he is the brain behind many famous games like The Legend of Zelda series. Shigeru got inspiration for Pikmin while he was gardening. Shigeru had a fascination with exploring a microcosm, and thus the idea for Pikmin was born. Pikmin is about a game where you are on a planet where the organisms are very small compared to real human objects. The main character, Olimar, is about the size of a human cherry. This whole game is revolved around the creatures on this strange planet and interacting with everything in a large world while you're such a small part of it.
